The Problem

Your main image decides the click — yet it's the thing sellers touch least

New images usually mean a photo shoot, an agency, and waiting — and in the end, changes are made by taste. Data plus Studio solves both.

Blind

Gut-feel changes

Most listing changes are rolled out without any measurement — by taste instead of data, impact unknown.

44 %

Make listings worse

Across the evaluated tests, 44 % of decisive changes made the listing worse. The wrong image idea costs real revenue.

Costly

New images are expensive

Photographer, agency, feedback loops — which is why weak main images often stay online unchanged for years.

What Scoutvo Actually Does

Not a testing tool — a creation tool

Scoutvo doesn't run tests. The evaluated tests tell you which visual language wins — the Studio applies it to your images.

Image A/B Studio

The AI generates new main-image variants for your product — in minutes instead of weeks, ready to download. Billed per image, no extra subscription.

The Evidence

What actually works — and what wastes budget

Win rate by listing element, evaluated across real A/B tests on amazon.de (percentage of wins among decisive tests). Not every lever is worth the effort.

Never decisive
The insight: A quality seal on the main image wins in 87 % of decisive cases — but a change to bullet points was never decisive across the evaluated tests. Scoutvo focuses your test budget on levers that provably work.

How It Works

From pattern to new main image in four steps

Scoutvo doesn't test — Scoutvo creates. The path to a better image:

1

Find the pattern

The evaluated tests show which visual language wins in your category — e.g. a badge on the main image (87 % win rate).

2

Pick templates

In the Studio, you mark the images whose visual language you want to adopt — from competitor and bestseller galleries.

3

Generate variants

The AI creates new main-image variants for your product — download, done. 1 token per image, no extra subscription.

4

Go live — or prove it

Put the new image live. If you want proof, test it via "Manage Your Experiments" or a time-window comparison — benchmarks below.

Optional: The Proof

If you want to test the new variant

Scoutvo doesn't measure anything here — the test runs on Amazon. The required runtime depends on traffic and effect size; benchmarks for 95 % confidence:

Sessions / Day (per variant)Small Effect (+5 %)Medium Effect (+10 %)Large Effect (+20 %)
100≈ 38 days≈ 14 days≈ 7 days
250≈ 21 days≈ 9 days≈ 5 days
500≈ 14 days≈ 6 days≈ 4 days
1,000+≈ 9 days≈ 4 days≈ 3 days
Rule of thumb: Run for at least a full week to even out day-of-week effects — even if significance is reached sooner.
Working Together

Scoutvo + "Manage Your Experiments"

Amazon's native tool runs the test — but it won't tell you what to test, and it won't create the variants. That's exactly where Scoutvo comes in.

From report to proven change

The Image A/B Studio doesn't stand alone — it closes the loop with the rest of Scoutvo.

1

Analysis finds the lever

The buyer criteria and competitor analysis shows where your listing loses to the market — that becomes your test hypothesis.

2

Studio delivers the variant

Instead of commissioning a photo shoot, you generate the image variant right in the Image A/B Studio — based on the patterns that win in your category.

3

New image goes live

You put the variant live — and, if you want, prove the impact with an A/B test on Amazon. The next hypothesis is already in your report.

FAQ

A/B testing questions

Does Scoutvo run the A/B tests itself?

No. Scoutvo delivers the decision basis (over 700 evaluated real tests) and generates the image variants in the Image A/B Studio. You run the test itself via Amazon's "Manage Your Experiments" or as a time-window comparison. Test tracking directly in Scoutvo is in the works — see product updates.

Do I need Amazon Brand Registry?

For Amazon's "Manage Your Experiments", yes. Without Brand Registry there's the time-window comparison: run variant B for a symmetric period and compare the metrics — with caution around seasonal effects. Scoutvo's insights and the Image A/B Studio work independently of it.

Where do the evaluated A/B tests come from?

From over 700 real tests on amazon.de, evaluated anonymously — deliberately including the losers and no-effect tests. Brand and ASIN are never published.

What does the Image A/B Studio cost?

Pay as you go: 1 token per generated image ($0.25), no extra subscription. Generated images stay available for download for 10 days. Details on the pricing page.

How long does a test need to run?

At least one full week to even out day-of-week effects. After that: only decide from about 95 % confidence — the duration table above gives benchmarks by traffic and effect size.

Can I change multiple things at once?

Better not. If you change five things at once, you won't know which one mattered. Test one variable per test — that's the only way to get actionable learning.
