All-in-one suite

Scoutvo vs. Helium 10

A factual comparison: what Helium 10 is built for, what Scoutvo is built for – and whether the two replace or complement each other.

Built for

Two tools, two jobs

Before the features: these two solve different problems. That explains most of the differences below.

Helium 10

Purpose, per the provider

All-in-one suite for research and operations: product and keyword research, listing tools, advertising, inventory, reimbursements. Platinum $99, Diamond $279, Enterprise from $1,499 a month; 24+ marketplaces, interface and support also in German.

Scoutvo

Purpose

Scoutvo analyses the competitive field around a product and turns it into a report that contains a decision — with evidenced seller origin and a source behind every statement.

Focus

What Helium 10 specialises in – and what comes first at Scoutvo

Helium 10 specialises in

Breadth across many categories: product and keyword databases, plus tools for advertising, inventory and reimbursements in one interface.

First at Scoutvo

Depth in one category. Instead of filtering estimates across many niches, a single bestseller board is read in full — review content, specification fields and where every individual seller is based.

Data basis

What the analysis is built from

The most factual difference between two tools is not the feature list but the data underneath. It decides which questions can be answered at all.

Helium 10

Works from

Its own product and keyword databases across 24+ marketplaces. Sales and search volumes are extrapolated from rank and click data rather than read off the product pages.

Scoutvo

Works from

The product pages of the entire category board — including sellers you have no connection to: specification fields, bullets, images, review text, 365 days of price and Buy-Box history, and public seller records indicating origin. None of it is extrapolated; what is missing is left standing as a gap.

Both work with category data and keywords.

Extrapolation covers many categories roughly; reading covers one category precisely. A keyword database says nothing about where sellers are based or what the reviews contain — and in return Scoutvo offers no market-wide keyword database for the initial search.

Head to head

Placement

Does Scoutvo replace Helium 10 – or come alongside it?

Complement

Both can be used to look for new products, by different routes: Helium 10 filters broadly across databases and estimates spanning many categories, while Scoutvo reads a single category board in full — specification fields, review content and where the sellers are based. The first route produces a list of candidates, the second a picture of one candidate. In practice they sit in sequence rather than in competition.

What this data allows

Not only for products you already sell

Helium 10 is built for the first pass: filtering millions of products down to a handful of candidates. Scoutvo picks up after that — once three candidates remain, it shows the complete field for each, instead of another estimate.

Research before you buy

Because the category board is read regardless of whether you sell there, the same analysis can be pointed at a category that is not yours. Candidates are ranked by demand, competitive density and pricing headroom; the ones worth keeping go on a shortlist.

Product setup with the full market picture

Before the first listing goes live you already hold the data of the entire competitive field: which specification fields the others fill, which terms the market uses, how many images are typical, which price band carries the revenue, and which variants exist.

Positioned correctly from day one

A new listing starts from the same level of information as an established one — instead of discovering the gaps months later through a weak conversion rate.

Repeatable, not a one-off

The same analysis can be run again for the same product, so movement in the field becomes visible without repeating the research by hand.

Scope

What makes the difference against Helium 10

Helium 10 covers research and operations broadly. These five points require individual product pages to actually be read, which a database lookup does not do:

Seller origin

Who sits behind each seller — evidenced through business records, Buy Box and revenue signals, with source and confidence per classification.

Why it matters: You don't beat a direct importer on price. Knowing who calculates how decides your strategy.

Purchase criteria from reviews

Theme analysis of reviews: what buyers genuinely praise — and which advertised features nobody cares about.

Why it matters: You promote what sells. Features every competitor lists are not an argument.

Data & field comparison

Every data field of your listing against the whole pool: BSR, price, rating, images, bullets, A+ — field by field.

Why it matters: Empty fields your competitors fill cost visibility. You see them at once instead of never.

Price & market

365-day price history, price segments and category market size — including which band actually holds the revenue.

Why it matters: Fighting in the densest segment loses margin without winning volume. The price band is a revenue decision.

Competitor research

Pulls your product's bestseller board, works out what actually counts as a direct competitor and proposes the right products. Classified sets can be reused.

Why it matters: You compare yourself against the right field. Looking at the wrong competitors means optimising past the market.

Also included: Listing & keywords · Variant consistency · Sourcing & niche research · Alerts on both levels · Action board · Product picks · Knowledge centre. The scope is identical in every plan; the plans differ only in volume.
